Agacaim Mudflats

Service Description

The Agacaim tidal mudflats are among Goa’s most productive wintering grounds for migratory shorebirds. This dynamic intertidal habitat attracts an impressive assemblage of gulls, terns, plovers, and sandpipers, making it one of the best places in the state to observe a wide range of shorebird species in a single location during the season. The site’s open mudflats and tidal patterns offer excellent visibility, providing birders and photographers with ideal conditions for detailed observation and comparison of similar species. Our private birdwalk at the Agacaim–Tivim mudflats is offered in two daily slots: 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. These guided sessions focus on identifying shorebirds, understanding their wintering behaviour, and exploring peak feeding zones across the flats. Guests may book any available date, making this a flexible and personalised option for travellers, families, or anyone seeking a concentrated shorebird experience at one of Goa’s richest seasonal habitats. Please check for tide timings before booking.
