Our Herping Trail at Siddhanath Hill, Borim offered a fascinating glimpse into the hidden nightlife of Goa’s forests. As darkness settled, the forest revealed its quieter residents — from Night Frogs carefully guarding their nests to agile Geckos, an elegant Green Vine Snake, and the striking Purple Tree Crab, each playing its role in this delicate ecosystem.

One of the most engaging sights of the night was watching a Dung Beetle in action, a small but powerful reminder of how even the tiniest creatures contribute to keeping the forest alive and balanced. Trails like these deepen our understanding of the forest after sunset and strengthen our connection with the wild spaces that thrive beyond daylight.
